Directions:� CSUS Aquatic Center is at 1901 Hazel Ave.
(Hazel and Hwy 50).� From Hwy 50 take
the Hazel Exit and turn north.� Turn
right on Gold River Drive.� The Aquatic
Center sits on the river�s edge.� Shortline
Lake is in Elk Grove.� From downtown
Sacramento take Highway 99 SOUTH approximately 10 miles to Sheldon Road.� Turn left (east) on Sheldon Road and go 0.8
miles to entrance on right.� Sunset
Ranch is in Galt.� From I-5 take
exit 270 West to Portal Way.� Turn North
on Portal, Right on Loomis Trail, Left on White Road, Black gate on right.� Winchester Lake is in the
Clarksburg/West Sacramento area.� From
I-80 go South on West Jefferson Blvd. for approx. 9 miles.� Turn left on Babel Slough and go approx. .25
miles, then right on Pumphouse Road for about .25 miles.� Pleasant Oak Lake is in Pleasant
Grove.� From Sacramento go North on Hwy
99/70 about 12 miles to Catlett Road.�
Go East on Catlett to the lake entrance on the left (about at the end of
the pavement).

4 years to maintain an official�s rating.

To
upgrade to Regular/Senior Judge/Scorer/Driver; to upgrade to Regional/National
Safety Director.

To
acquire an Assistant Driver rating, a State Safety Director rating, or a
Technical Controller rating.
Rated Drivers
Classroom
style instruction/testing and on-water practical instruction/testing.� To qualify for driving in traditional AWSA
tournaments of class C or higher.�
Students must have completed the Application for Assistant Driver form,
and the work required by that application, and obtained required
signatures.� Bring ski equipment,
swimsuits and wetsuits to the on-water portion so you can pull skiers and drive
for each other.
Judges
Classroom
style discussion and instruction for judging all 3 events.� This clinic is open to all individuals.� Includes rules discussions, towboat speed
control, video jump, making judgment calls and rulings, working with judge�s
forms, and working with computer scoring and �paperless� tournaments.� Types of judges, their roles, and the
relationship of judge to other types of tournament officials will be discussed.
Computer
Scoring
To
help you with scoring each event on the computer.� Includes setting up a
tournament on the computer prior to the tournament, scoring the tournament, and
closing out the tournament after it ends.�
Loading the scoring software onto your own computer is also
covered.� Attendees must bring
their own computer, power strip and extension cord to the clinic.�
Trained
Drivers
Classroom
style instruction/testing and on-water practical instruction/testing.� To obtain AWSA certification to drive for
ski schools, AWSA Class F or Novice tournaments, disabled tournaments, and
wakeboard tournaments.� Also serves as
an introduction to the Rated Drivers clinic.�
Bring ski equipment, swimsuits and wetsuits to the on-water portion so
students can pull skiers and drive for each other.
Safety
Classroom
style discussion and instruction, followed by on-water practical instruction in
the water.� For those wishing to serve
as a Safety Director (Chief or Assistant) at an AWSA-sanctioned
tournament.� Bring your lifejacket,
swimsuit and wetsuit � you�ll be in the water.
Technical
Controller
Classroom
style discussion and instruction.�
Includes a review of existing technical rules, but also places emphasis
on new rules with changing technology.�
For anyone wishing to acquire or maintain a Technical Controller rating
for AWSA Record tournaments.
