The following is a news release for the Water Skier
regarding the outstanding set of clinics we had last week. Please call or

SPRING AWSA CLINICS
California State University Sacramento was the primary site
for five AWSA sanctioned clinics March 17, 18, and 19. Over 70 people from
three states attended this very effective, well-received set of clinics for
judges, scorers, safety, technical controllers, and drivers.
The scoring clinics were given in a CSUS computer lab by
the Chief Scorer of this year�s Nationals with computers for each participant
and a three-event tournament to input. The judges� clinic included
specialists for the judges� view of speed control and scoring. The CSUS
pool was the site for the huge but very safe safety clinic. The CSUS Water
Ski Team coach gave a trained driver clinic at Lang Lake, one of the CSUS
team�s training sites.
The clinics were sponsored by SACTO (Sacramento Tournament
Organization), the organization of more than 20 lakes in the Sacramento,
California area. SACTO clinics are operated each spring and fall with
comprehensive schedules posted on the USA Water Ski, AWSA Western Region web
site. SACTO expresses great appreciation to Carol Boice, Iris Hardeman,
Cindi Dulgar, Brian Dulgar, Ruthie Heuton, Bob Hardeman, Steve Lock, the
attendees, CSUS and all the people who helped with these clinics.
