I was intent on taking a bunch of pictures of the top seeds with Mt
Ranier in the background, and everybody’s face is dark.

| Women 6 Slalom chanp Scarlett Dwyer and Silver Medalist Barbara Canfield. |
|
| Women 7 Slalom Champ Joan Pollycutt | |
| Women 5 Slalom Champ Barbara Baer, Silver Medalist Barbara Norton (r) and Bronze Medalist Sally Mecham (l) |
|
| This is whoever was skiing at 7:51 pm. Records indicate that is Mike Stajgr, M4 Overall Champ. That doesn’t look like him though, does it? Send me email to help me ID these people. Refer to pictures by number. |

| This is whoever was skiing at 8:00pm. Again, records state something that doesn’t seem so. This ‘should’ be Rob Muhlitner who left the dock at 7:59. Kent Smith went right before him and Brad Hartwell was right after. |
#2 |
| I know Brad finished his run at around 8:05 because here he is after a disappointing fall. |
|
| This is Dennis Phillips, right after Brad. Is this really him? The way the dark water is silhouetting him, it looks like this guy has a perfect goatee coming off his chin at exactly 45 degrees. I don’t remember Dennis having one of those. |
#3 |
| In the meantime….. | |
| Records and timestamp indicate this is Dave Buccli. Kind of looks like him, eh? |
#4 |
| Dave again? | #5 |
| Brian Hockenberry? I’ll finish this later with the help of some skiing style recognition experts. |
|
| This is definitely Don Beaman, the winner. | |
| Don, Steve Ware (2nd) and Gordon Rathbun (3rd). | |
| Mike Stajgr, Men 4 Overall Champ, Don Parsons (2nd) and Dee Johnson (3rd). |
|
| Can’t help but take another picture of Donny. Fellow Coloradoan. |
|
| Dee and Scott Milewski toast his Overall medal. Even though it was a sensitive moment, they DID NOT kiss each other. |
|
| In the meantime, Sauci Milewski performed a few magic tricks. |
