Richelle Matli and Mike Hayes attended the National Rules Committee face to
face meeting in Tampa, FL last November. The committee meets every two years,
but there is some talk of meeting every year because of the rapid development
of all of the technical aspects of our sport.
����������� This year
was similar to the last meeting with an emphasis being placed on aligning our
national rules with IWSF rules where possible. One of the more controversial
changes involves jump speeds and ramp height. Another is allowing competition
in another age division as long as it is apparently more difficult.
����������� We will
attempt to be brief, but we are need input from the council to guide our
National Directors when these proposed changes are presented to the National
Board of Directors in San Antonio, Texas at the end of this month.
����������� We will run
through the proposed changes in rule book order with the actual wording listed
in the attachment that is included.
